I have submitted the online form for reserving the gym at the Noe Valley Rec Center. Since the Rec Center is new the Park and Rec, is still trying to figure out the cost and available services they have to help support this league.

In speaking with Gil, the rec center seems to be already scheduled with the existing programs. He is check to see what dates are available as the end of December and the month of January may have some openings to support a quick league.

Thanks for all of the great responses from Craigslist post for being a basketball referee. No doubt that we have enough support to referee a league. More to follow when I can get actual dates from Parks and Rec.

Also, you should all watch the Board of Supes meeting from last week where Supervisor Dufty gave an impassioned speech about our Rec Center. He talked about the delayed opening, how stretched the Rec and Park resources are, and how our center is plagued by low staffing levels and can't stay open normal business hours. He put in a request to the Controller's office. Link below (his speech is about 1 hour and 8 minutes in) . They say he was great!

Team Entry Fee
$250.00 team entry fee, plus each team will be responsible for a $20 ref fee/game. Each team must be registered by a team captain or a coach who will be responsible for league administrative information, coordinating payment of officials and adherence of team members to leagues rules and policies.
